Mumbai:Actor Ajay Devgn will be returning to director's chair for upcoming film Mayday. The actor took to social media to announce the commencement of film's shooting in Hyderabad.
On Friday, Ajay took to Twitter to announce that the film with Big B and Rakul in lead has gone on floors. The team aims to wrap the film in a start-to-finish shooting schedule.
"Happy to officially begin MayDayFolded hands in a start-to-finish shooting schedule. Seek blessings from the Almighty and my parents. Nothing is complete without the support of all my fans, family and well-wishers. Releases on 29th April 2022. @SrBachchan @Rakulpreet @KumarMangat," reads Devgn's tweet.

Directed and produced by Ajay, Mayday marks his reunion with Big B after over seven years. The actors have shared screen space in films like Major Sahab, Khakee and Hindustan Ki Kasam and their last outing together was 2013 release Satyagraha.
According to reports, Ajay and Rakul will be playing pilots in the film which is billed as an edge-of-the-seat drama while details about Big B's character is under wraps.
Devgn will next be seen in Bhuj: The Pride Of India. The war action film, based on a true story, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Ammy Virk, Nora Fatehi and Sharad Kelkar. It is set during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The actor also plays a pivotal role in SS Rajamouli's much-anticipated film RRR besides extended cameo in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi.
