Aishwarya Rai's airport appearance sparks pregnancy rumours - video

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's videos and pictures of the latest airport appearance have sparked pregnancy rumours after netizens grew suspicious about the actor's apparent baby bump.

Hyderabad: Bollywood star Aishwarya RaiBachchan was spotted at Kalina airport in Mumbai on August 22. The actor was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan as she returned to Mumbai from Madhya Pradesh where she was shooting for Mani Ratnam's upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan.

Aishwarya's videos and pictures of the latest airport appearance have sparked pregnancy rumours after netizens grew suspicious about the actor's apparent baby bump. While the actor and her husband Abhishek Bachchan are yet to confirm the rumuors, social media is abuzz with speculation about the Bachchan couple expecting a second child.

Aishwarya was in Madhya Pradesh's Orchha for Ratnam's film which is a Tamil-language historical drama. The actor is said to be playing the role of antagonist in the film which will reunite her with Mani after more than a decade. Aishwarya, who kickstarted her career with Mani's Iruvar in 1997, has worked with him in films like Guru and Raavan.

Meanwhile, the first part of Ponniyin Selvan is set to be released in 2022. Aishwarya aside, the star-studded magnum opus features an ensemble of actors like Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Jayam Ravi and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others.

The film is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. The book chronicles the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarman, one of the most powerful kings in the south, who went on to become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I.Ponniyin Selvan is backed by Ratnam's production house Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran's banner Lyca Productions.
