Hyderabad: Actor Warina Hussain, who hails from Afghanistan, has said that the current situation in the wartorn country reminds her of traumatic past. The actor has shared that two decades ago her family was forced to flee the country and watching several families going through the same again makes her heart ache.
Warina made her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan produced Loveyatri in 2018. Later, she was seen in the song Munna badnaam in the Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg 3. While speaking to a daily on the current situation in Afghanistan, Warina shared how 20 years ago the war forced her family to flee the country.
"It’s a difficult time for me and my family. It’s eerily similar to 20 years ago. It was because of this war and turmoil that my family was forced to flee Afghanistan, and now, many years later, I see other families losing their homes," she said. The actor said her cherished memory of Kabul will always be of family picnics, food, and a beautiful spring which she doubts will ever be the same again. "The only air one will now breathe will be of suppression," she added.
