Indore (Madhya Pradesh):The Indian Institute of Technology Indore's efforts to manufacture a high-performance drone using indigenous microprocessors turned successful with the Shakti processor developed by IIT Madras and the Vega processor developed by the CDAC. IIT Indore has developed a drone using indigenous equipment. This experiment is being done under the Government of India's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaign.
IIT Indore built drones with indigenous microprocessor
Earlier, during the Indigenous Microprocessor Challenge, 6,169 teams have participated including a team from IIT Indore. These teams pitched to design equipment using the indigenous microprocessor. IIT Indore has successfully entered the first 30 challengers with their automatic drone using the same indigenous microprocessor.
