New Delhi: "Featuring cutting-edge Gimbal Stabilization Technology, Superb Night Camera, 60X Zoom and X-Class Design, the X50 series smartphones enable users to capture stable and high-quality images and videos in a wide range of scenarios, making every shot a masterpiece," said Nipun Marya, Director-Brand Strategy, Vivo India.

The company last week announced its entry into the premium smartphone segment with the new X-series in India which will be manufactured at the company's Greater Noida facility. In the first quarter this year, Vivo captured 21 percent market share, grabbing the second spot after Xiaomi. To know about the features, Click on the video below:-

Vivo X50 Pro Gimbal camera makes it an amateur shutterbug's delight:-

  • Modelled after a full-size professional gimbal, X50 Pro's built-in gimbal module moves in the opposite direction of shaking motions, providing increased stability for the main camera. This system also widens the rotation angle and anti-shake area compared to popular stabilisation technologies, resulting in super-clear images.
  • The gimbal user interface (UI), an on-screen animated dot within a circle (which reflects the gimbal's movement), lets users know when the frame is stable.
  • Vivo's motion de-blur algorithm, custom sensors and continuous focus tracking further enhance image and video clarity.
  • The smartphone has the quad rear camera system that includes a 48MP customised Sony IMX598 primary sensor with an f/1.6 lens and Gimbal Camera System, an 8MP super-wide-angle shooter with a 120-degree field of view, 13MP bokeh shooter with an f/2.48 lens, and an 8MP telescopic shooter that enables 60x hybrid zoom.
  • This combination ensures that the camera experience will never be the same again. We found image quality excellent, with vibrant yet natural colors and ample detail.
  • The Portrait mode worked very well with good foreground and background separation, but the night mode was exceptional.
  • With the night mode on, images turned out quite sharp and managed to retain a good amount of detail.
  • The smartphone comes with a 32MP selfie camera at the front that also did justice to portrait shots.
  • X50 Pro looks superb. The display curves on the sides where it meets the frame with German specialty glass maker Schott's Xensation Up glass at front and back gives the phone a premium look and makes it comfortable to hold.
  • The volume buttons are on the right and are comfortable for single-hand operations. The top and bottom of the phone are completely flat. It has a USB Type-C port at the bottom along with a bottom-firing speaker and a SIM tray.

X50 camera set up involves; 8MP secondary sensor with a super-wide-angle lens that has a 120-degree field of view (FoV), along with a 5MP macro shooter and a 13-megapixel bokeh shooter. There is also a 32MP selfie camera at the front.

Vivo also launched TWS earbuds for Rs 5,990. It is said to feature a 14.2mm driver in each earbud, Qualcomm aptX Adaptive feature that saves 1.5x more audio data and DeepX stereo sound effects for better output.

"With a growing appetite for premium smartphones, consumers are looking for a premium device that elevates their smartphone experience. We believe that Vivo has built a strong brand value in India. It's the right time to expand our product offering," Nipun Marya, Director, Brand Strategy, Vivo India, said, in a statement.

The smartphone brand has also adopted a new 'Smart Retail' model to enable business continuity for its pan-India retail network.

"The purpose of this new model was that while stores are opening and retailers are going back to business, there are some customers who do not want to go to the store. "This model is for them. Customers can send in their Vivo product-related queries to retailers and then we will call them, understand the requirement, suggest a phone and finally, the sale will be executed," Marya explained
