Man arrested for firing at woman in Tamil Nadu

The incident took place on September 21 when a 17-year-old youth had a verbal duel with a woman over a trivial issue. In a fit of rage, the youth allegedly opened fire at the woman and left the spot injuring her critically.

Krishnagiri (Tamil Nadu): A 17-year-old youth was arrested by police on Wednesday for allegedly attempting murder a woman at Pannanthopu area in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.

According to police, the incident took place on September 21 when the minor had a verbal duel with a woman over a trivial issue. In a fit of rage, the youth allegedly opened fire at the woman and left the spot injuring her critically.

Upon hearing the loud screams of the injured woman, locals rushed to the spot and admitted the woman to the Krishnagiri Government hospital.

Meanwhile, the woman's husband has lodged a complaint against the accused youth who was at large after the incident. On Wednesday police nabbed the accused, registered a case against him and started interrogation.
