Two minor girls raped in separate incidents in Rajasthan

A minor girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Bhadrokhi village, and another minor girl, hailing from Gokhle Nagar was allegedly abducted and attacked by six people.

Jalon (Rajasthan): A minor girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Bhadrokhi village under Aata police limits in Rajasthan's Jalon district on Sunday.

The suspect, identified as Deepak of the same village, was arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim’s family.

According to sources, the accused allegedly raped the minor, who happens to be his neighbour, when the latter’s family members were present in the house.

The accused then took her to a secluded room where he outraged her modesty. After the matter came to the knowledge of the family, her father lodged a complaint at the local police station, sources added.

On the basis of the complaint, police arrested Deepak after booking him under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty), 341 (wrongful restraint), section-342 (wrongful confinement), section-506 (criminal intimidation) and sections- 4 and 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012.

Following an investigation, the medical examination of both the accused and the victim have been conducted, the police said and added that the accused will be presented before a court later.

Meanwhile, another minor girl, hailing from Gokhle Nagar under Kounch police limits in the district was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by six people.

According to police, the victim had gone missing on Saturday night, after which her mother had lodged a missing complaint with local police.

Acting on the complaint, the police have registered a case under several sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act. Further probe is underway, the police said.
