Ghaziabad:Two persons, linked to the recent jewellery shop robbery in Vijay Nagar, were nabbed by the police on Tuesday, alongside recovery of gold ornaments, pistols and a vehicle from their possession.
Two arrested for jewellery shop robbery in Ghaziabad Outlining the details of the incident to the media persons, City Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said that the robbery was carried out on May 2 and the two suspects were detained during a routine checkup at Hindon barrage area.
"Upon frisking them, during the checkup, we recovered gold ornaments (26 gold rings, 21 earrings and others) along with two country-made pistols with six cartridges, and a four-wheeler which was reportedly used in the robbery," mentioned Kumar.
Meanwhile, the accused: Rohit (24) of Burari in North Delhi and Rakesh (28) of Dujana village in Gautam Budh Nagar district, have been arrested. Besides the robbery, they have also confessed to killing a doctor in Loni on February 20.
