Punjab: Mother kills 6-year-old son for loving grandmother more than her

In a shocking turn of events, a woman stabbed her six-year-old son to death with a kitchen knife in Jalandhar district because she thought he loved his grandmother more than her. Station House Officer Sukhwinder Singh of Shahkot Police station said a murder case has been registered against the mother.

Jalandhar: A woman allegedly killed her six-year-old son on Monday, because he “loved his grandmother more than her”, her family members claimed.

According to the police, the incident took place in Sohal Jagir village.

After killing her son with a kitchen knife, the woman jumped off from her house and is currently in hospital.

The accused, Kulwinder Kaur’s husband Surjit Singh (30) is living in Italy and was planning to take his wife and son Arashpreet Singh along.

According to the family members, the woman and the mother-in-law would fight over petty issues.

The night before the incident, they fought as well.

Kulwinder was not happy as Arashpreet was very close to his grandmother.

Station House Officer (SHO) Sukhwinder Singh of Shahkot Police station said a murder case has been registered against the mother.
