Lucknow: The wife and son of a senior railway officer were found murdered at Railway colony under Gautam Palli police station in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow on Saturday. Meanwhile, police have arrested the daughter of the railway officer as she confessed to committing the crime.
Police said that the minor girl's mental condition is not well and is reported to have stated that she is a trained shooter.
The deceased persons have been identified as railway Public Relation Officer, Rajesh Dutt Bajpai's wife Malti (50) and his son Sarvadut (22).
Lucknow Police Commissioner Sujit Pandey According to Lucknow Police Commissioner Sujit Pandey, The officer's wife and son were shot dead inside their house where their bodies were found. The son was aged 20-22 and his body was found alongside his mother's lying on one of the beds.
Speaking to the media persons, Police Commissioner Sujit Pandey said, "The daughter of the Railways officer was also present in the house and she had informed the servant about the murders. The servant had then alerted the police."
"It is the Railway officer's minor daughter who shot dead her mother and brother. She has confessed to the crime. She inflicted several wounds on herself with razer. She is in depression and will be sent to child protection home," he said.
According to investigators, she wrote 'disqualified human' on a glass panel in the washroom. The girl fired the first bullet at the glass before firing a second bullet at her mother and another at her brother. Police officials also found several cuts on her arms. A razor she used to injure herself has also been recovered.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and a forensic team is examining the scene of the crime.
