Four heroin smugglers arrested in Haryana

Four persons have been nabbed by police in Haryana for smuggling drugs. Police recovered 1.74 kilograms of heroin from their possession. Police claimed that the cost of the recovered drugs is worth Rs 9 crore in the international market.

Sonipat (Haryana): Haryana police on Saturday arrested four people from Sonipat and recovered 1.74 kilograms of heroin from their possession. Police claimed that the cost of the recovered drugs is worth Rs 9 crore in the international market.

According to police officials, the accused have been identified as Vikas, Sandeep Mukaddar and Arvind and were arrested near Dahisara area.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Intelligence officials led by ASI Ramesh Khatri and nabbed the four accused from Dahisara area while they were heading from Delhi to Haryana with the drugs.

Speaking to media persons in this regard, Sonipat SP Jashandeep Singh Randhawa said," Sonipat sleuths have seized 1 kg 740 grams of heroin from four youths. The accused used to take the drugs from Delhi and sell them in Sonipat and adjoining areas."

"All the accused have been presented in court and taken on remand for two days so that the matter can be investigated in-depth," Randhawa said.
