9-yr-old shot in Jharkhand

In an exchange of gun fire between the ASI and station in-charge in Jharkhand's Tundi police station area, a 9-year-old was shot and was seriously injured.

Dhanbad: A 9-year-old was shot in an exchange of firing in the Tundi police station area on Thursday evening. The incident took place after the assault between the ASI and the station in-charge near by market. There was an atmosphere of confusion and chaos in the area.

The dispute between the city's Tundi police station officer-in-charge Sudhir Singh and the ASI Kundan Singh, however, resulted in serious injury of the child.

The child playing Holi was shot and was seriously injured. He was immediately brought to the PMCH hospital in Anan-Phanan. According to the hospital authorities, the child was shot in the stomach, resulting to severe injuries.

The family has approached the police station for further investigation.
