27-yr-old gym trainer shot dead in Delhi

Mohit More had lakhs of social media followers on a video sharing application called TikTok and thousands on a photo-sharing one.

New Delhi:A 27-year-old gym trainer, who was also a social media celebrity, was shot dead on Tuesday by unidentified persons in New Delhi's Najafgarh area.

Identified as Mohit More, a resident of National Capital Region's Bahadurgarh area, police said that More had gone to meet a friend at a photostat shop when the incident took place around 5.15 pm.

“On reaching the spot, the team was told that three men walked inside the shop and shot at Mohit,” said a senior police official.

The unidentified assailants had come on a two-wheeler which they parked at a distance and walked to the shop. They allegedly fired around five rounds at the victim, added officials.

Meanwhile, a case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered and investigation has been initiated.

The police suspect personal enmity to be a reason behind the murder.

The incident took place three days after two suspected criminals were killed in a shootout between rival gangs near the Dwarka Mor metro station nearby.
