Raqqa: At least eight people were killed and over 20 others were injured in a car explosion in Tal Abyad, area of Syrian-Turkish border on Sunday.
"Innocent civilians were massacred by the bloody Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) terrorists. Eight civilians were killed and more than 20 were wounded in the attack organised by terrorists in the village of Salik Atik in the south of Tal Abyad," the Turkish Defence Ministry wrote on Twitter.
The Turkish ministry blamed the Kurdish militia for the attack.
Tension has been brewing in northern Syria since Turkey launched its military operation on October 9 after the US announced the withdrawal of its troops.
