Netanyahu to travel to Russia for Syria talks

Israel and Russian leaders Benjamin Netanyahu and Vladimir Putin are set to meet in Russia to discuss the Syria issue.

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is due to leave the country on Wednesday night to travel to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin.

Netanyahu and Putin have been recently holding regular consultations to coordinate operations in war-torn Syria.

The meeting will be the first since a Russian plane was shot down in Syria by anti-aircraft fire.
