Atma:While Muslims across the world are busy celebrating Eid al-Adha, Syrian Muslims living in Atma displacement camp in Aleppo's countryside had a lackluster celebration on Monday.
Eid for many Muslims is usually seen as holiday of happiness and calm, but those forced to flee their homes during the war said they're more concerned with enduring the harsh conditions suffered in camps.
"We don't really feel it, because nobody is happy since we lost our village. No person who has lost neighbours or relatives can be happy," said Ahamad Al-Khalaf, who lives in Atma camp and was originally from Maarat al-Numan.
Others living in Atma camp said they find Eid difficult to endure, as it reminds them of family members they have lost.
