Maaret al-Numan: At least 10 civilians were killed and many others injured in an airstrike on a market in a rebel-held town in Syria's northwestern province of Idlib on Monday, according to opposition activists.
Volunteers of the Syrian Civil Defence, removed bodies and injured from the rubble in Maaret al-Numan.
The group said that nine civilians, including two women, were killed while 13 others, including two children, were wounded.
"The bombardment of the market that was packed with civilians led to a massacre and wide destruction," the Civil Defence said on its Facebook page, adding that the death toll was not final yet.
