Those experiencing severe symptoms of COVID-19 need extra oxygen.

However, Tedros said demand is currently outstripping supply as the WHO reports many countries struggle to obtain oxygen concentrators.

The WHO subsequently announced that with UN partners, oxygen concentrators and other equipment are being supplied for countries that need them most.
