UK Queen seen in public for 1st time since lockdown

Queen Elizabeth II was pictured riding a pony, a 14-year-old Fell Pony, on the grounds of her Windsor Castle residence. This was her first public appearance since the lockdown. The last time the Queen was seen in public was when she was driven from Buckingham Palace in London to the Windsor residence.

Windsor:Queen Elizabeth II was seen in public on Sunday for the first time since the UK's lockdown was introduced to tackle the new coronavirus pandemic.

The Queen was pictured riding a pony, a 14-year-old Fell Pony, on the grounds of her Windsor Castle residence.

The Windsor grounds are a favourite of the Queen, who is a passionate horse lover and breeder of thoroughbred racehorses.

The last time the Queen was seen in public was when she was driven from Buckingham Palace in London to the Windsor residence.

Since her last appearance, she delayed carrying out official duties, and has been doing her weekly audience with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson via the phone as opposed to face-to-face.

She has also made two televised addesses to the public to address concerns over the new virus lockdown.
