London:British Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned on Friday that opposition to his Brexit plan was weakening Britain's negotiating position by giving EU leaders the impression that Parliament may step in to block it.
"I'm afraid that the more our friends and partners think, at the back of their mind, that Brexit could be stopped, that the UK could be kept in by Parliament, the less likely they are to give us the deal that we need," Johnson said.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that he is worried that MPs attempt to block Brexit will encourage Brussels to deny the UK 'the deal we need'.
Johnson is currently facing several legal challenges over his decision to suspend Parliament for several weeks during part of the period ahead of the Brexit deadline of October 31.
Critics of the UK prime minister have argued that prorogation was aimed at stopping discussions of Brexit.
Johnson has denied the claims.
Instead, Johnson said that the protests and legal challenges to his policy are making it harder for Britain to forge a new deal with European Union leaders because they may believe Parliament can stop Brexit.
