To ban or not to ban prostitution, Dutch parl to debate

A petition regarding prostitution ban is to be handed over into the Dutch parliament after over 42,000 young people signed for it. The social-media led campaign "I am priceless", aims to make paying for sex a punishable offense.

Amsterdam: More than 42,000 young people have signed a petition calling for prostitution ban in Netherlands.

A petition regarding the same is to be handed over into the Dutch parliament after which the issue will be debated by the politicians.

The social-media led campaign "I am priceless", aims to make paying for sex a punishable offense.

Currently, buying and selling sex is legal in Netherlands as long as it involves the consent of the people involved.

The petition is not welcomed by everyone as the sex workers believe that the petition is not in their interest and said that its their free choice.
