Chambley: More than 400 hot air balloons on Monday took to the air over Northeast France in the Grand Est Mondial Air Ballons festival at the aerodrome in Chambley-Hageville.
The festival started last Friday and will carry on for a total of ten days. The public can take flight for about an hour for 200 – 250 euros (222 – 278 US dollars). They can also win contests for a free ascent.
The festival is in its 30th year and is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.
