Dolphins spotted in Istanbul amid reduced marine traffic

As the largest city of Turkey was under a four-day lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, dolphins made their way to the shore in Bosporus Strait because of marine traffic reduction.

Istanbul: Several dolphins were spotted swimming very close to shore on April 21, 2020, in Istanbul's Bosporus Strait following reduced marine traffic amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Istanbul is Turkey's largest city, with over 15 million residents and on Saturday was on the third day of a four-day lockdown along with 30 other provinces.

As people across the globe stay home to stem the spread of the virus, people are noticing animals in places where at times they have not seen them before.
