Cannabis farm found behind shower wall in Italy

Halogen lamps were being used to grow the plants whereas heat pumps and fans were operating on stolen power. The homeowner was arrested for illegal production and possession of drugs.

Sardinia: Italian police in the island of Sardinia have discovered an illegal giant cannabis farm hidden behind a tiled shower wall.

A hatch in the shower compartment lead to the 500 square meter farm containing more than 500 plants.

Halogen lamps were being used to grow the plants whereas heat pumps and fans were operating on stolen power, police said.

Police also seized a gun and bullets.

The 30-year old homeowner was arrested for illegal production and possession of drugs as well as possession of an illegal weapon and ammunition.
