Mediterranean Sea: A Spanish humanitarian ship with 147 migrants onboard is anchored off a southern Italian island Lampedusa, as Italy's ministers spar over their fate on Thursday.
Interior Minister Matteo Salvini is blocking rescue ship Open Arms from docking on Thursday.
But Defence Minister Elisabetta Trenta, bolstered by a court ruling said that politics can't lose its humanity and refused to sign off on Salvini's docking ban.
Aid ship with 147 migrants stranded off Lampedusa Open Arms, which is already in Italian waters, wants to dock at Lampedusa island.
Salvini said that Italy has already taken too many rescued migrants in past years and insists other European Union nations to take the migrants, who have been aboard for nearly two weeks.
Italian RAI state radio said that two navy ships are nearby to evacuate the children, a day after Premier Giuseppe Conte asked Salvini to allow them to leave.
