London: An inspirational pensioner has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds as she takes on a mammoth task of climbing the height of a mountain using her staircase.
Ninety-year-old Margaret Payne has set herself the challenge of climbing the height of Scottish mountain Suilven using nothing but her stairs at her home in the Scottish Highlands.
So far she has raised more than 300,000 pounds (approximately 489,235 US dollars) for charities supporting the NHS, Highlands Hospice, and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and has even received a royal letter from the heir to the British throne, Prince Charles.
