Yemen rebels target Saudi airport, 26 wounded

Houthi rebels in Yemen launched a missile attack on an airport in Saudi Arabia. 26 people were wounded in the attack.

Riyadh:At least 26 people were wounded as Houthi rebels in Yemen launched a missile attack on an airport in southern Saudi Arabia, officials said on Wednesday.

The incident took place at an airport in the southwestern town of Abha.

Abha is close to the border with Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition force is battling against the Iranian-backed Houthis.

Coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki told the media on Wednesday that a projectile struck the airport's arrival terminal.

Among the injured there were three women and two children, he said.

On Wednesday, the rebels said that they had launched a cruise missile at the airport.
