Jakarta: Violent protests are continuing unabated in Jakarta over the Indonesian Presidential poll results declared on Tuesday. Supporters of defeated Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto took to the streets and targeted the police. They threw stones and burned tyres.
The unrest started when protestors,who allege the poll results were biased in favour of Joko Widodo, attacked a police station Tuesday night. Police fired tear gas to disperse the violent mob. In the milieu six people died and nearly 200 were injured.
