During a push-up challenge, the 38-year-old Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard defeated her young opponent. Gabbard served in a field medical unit of the Hawaii Army National Guard in a combat zone in Iraq from 2004 to 2005 and was deployed to Kuwait from 2008 to 2009.

Hyderabad: US Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard on Thursday was asked to participate in a push-up challenge against a young man at a New Hampshire town hall. Wearing heels, she defeated her young opponent in a few moments.

Taking to Twitter, Gabbard wrote, "I got challenged to a fun push-up contest at my town hall yesterday!"

The 38-year-old lawmaker has been serving as the US Representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district since 2013.

Gabbard served in a field medical unit of the Hawaii Army National Guard in a combat zone in Iraq from 2004 to 2005 and was deployed to Kuwait from 2008 to 2009.

She was also the Democratic National Committee's vice chair from 2013 to 2016 but resigned to endorse Senator Bernie Sanders during the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.
