Hong Kong: In an attempt to disrupt passenger travel, protesters on Sunday used trolleys and barriers to block a road at Hong Kong airport. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside a terminal entrance as riot officers patrolled the precincts.

As a result of Sunday's protest, the operator of the airport's express train ordered the suspension of services on the 13th consecutive weekend of demonstrations.

The latest protest action comes after Saturday's clashes in which protesters threw petrol bombs at government headquarters and police hit subway passengers with clubs and pepper spray.Protests erupted over a now suspended controversial extradition bill that would have allowed extradition to mainland China. Now, protesters demand democratic reforms, the resignation of territory's leader Carrie Lam and an independent inquiry on the brute use of police force on the demonstrators.
