SKorea wants peaceful coexistence with North: Moon

President Moon remarked in an address at the commemorative ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the 1950-1953 Korean War. The event included a ceremony marking the return of remains of 147 South Korean soldiers and six UN Command soldiers.

Seoul:South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Thursday he does not intend to force the South Korean system on North Korea but rather wants them to live well together.

Moon remarked in an address at the commemorative ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the 1950-1953 Korean War.

The event included a ceremony marking the return of remains of 147 South Korean soldiers and six UN Command soldiers.

The remains were discovered under the joint project by South Korea and the US.

The remains of six UN Command soldiers have been confirmed to be remains of American soldiers and they will be returned to the US on Friday.

Leaders of 22 countries who participated in the Korean War under UN Command sent video messages to commemorate the anniversary.
