Hyderabad: A Russian An-26 transport aircraft has vanished off the radar in the country's Khabarovsk region, Russian state-affiliated Sputnik News has reported citing the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry. The plane has a crew of six onboard.

"The An-26 plane with six crew members on board disappeared from radars 38 kilometres [23 miles] south-west of Khabarovsk," Sputnik reported a spokesman for emergency services as saying.

According to the report, the plane was conducting the flight to test its communication equipment.
