Hama countryside: After loosing Kfar Nabudah, a village described as the first line of defence for Idlib to government forces recently, the rebel groups are fighting back and trying to reclaim the territory again.
After the government brought the village to their possession on Wednesday, the rebel groups have launched a counteroffensive to retake the territory located in the country's northwest.
The captuing of Kfar Nabudah village will help the government troops to advance to the east, regaining control of the town of Qalaat al-Madiq.
Though Syria state al-Ikhbariya TV claimed troops counter attacked the counteroffensive against Kfar Nabudah village, the Britain-based war monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the rebels led by
al-Qaida-linked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham sparked a fresh clash provoking the government to launch airstikes.
