Colombo: Sri Lanka police on Thursday busted several safe houses and training camps in connection with the deadly Easter Sunday attacks, which targeted high-end hotels and churches across the country, killing over 250 people.
Police spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara told media on Wednesday that the 17 safe houses and 7 training camps were used by the terrorists to plan the eight coordinated bombings which rattled the cities of Colombo, Negombo, Kochchikede and Batticaloa.
Over 500 people were injured in the April 21 attacks.
