I am not worthy of Nobel Peace Prize: Imran Khan

Imran Khan said that he is not worth of Nobel Peace Prize. Pakistan has demanded to endorse Khan for the prestigious award for his efforts to de-escalate resent tension with India.

Hyderabad: Days after a resolution was submitted in Pakistan Parliament to endorse Prime Minister Imran Khan for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize, Khan on Monday said he is not worthy of the prestigious award.

Taking to his twitter, Khan said, "I am not worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize. The person worthy of this would be the one who solves the Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people and paves the way for peace & human development in the subcontinent."

On Saturday, Pakistan Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry submitted a resolution in the secretariat of National Assembly, the lower house to endorse Khan for the Peace Prize for his efforts to de-escalate resent tension with India.

The resolution stated that Khan's decision of releasing Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan has de-escalated the hostility between Pakistan and India.
