Hong Kong:A subway passenger train derailed during the morning rush hour in Hong Kong injuring eight people and forcing 500 people to evacuate.
The incident took place near Hung Hom station in Kowloon which is a sector of busy interchange and also provides services to mainland China.
However, the authorities are still investigating the cause of the derailment but the incident has already triggered rumours blaming the pro-democracy protesters for the foul play.
Hong Kong subway train derails during morning rush hour Following the incident, the train service between the stations on the same line had been suspended.
The MTR Corporation is the only railway corporation in the city which has recently become the target of the pro-democracy protesters after it denied to hand over last month's CCTV footage of the police violence over the demonstrators and passengers on the subway train.
The political unrest has stirred up the streets of Hong Kong for the past four months and became the biggest challenge for China's rule since the city's handover from Britain in 1997.
The protest has become more violent even after the withdrawal of the Extradition bill according to which the criminal suspects would be sent to China for trial.
