Global COVID-19 tracker

As the overall number of global coronavirus cases has surpassed the 38 million mark, the pandemic has infected nearly 3,82,539 and killed over 6,041 people across the world on Wednesday. The US is the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 81,50,043 and 2,21,843 respectively. India comes in second place in terms of cases at 73,07,097, while the country's death toll soared to 1,11,311.

Hyderabad:The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 38,752,973 and killed over 10,96,962 people across the world. More than 29,129,637 people have recovered so far.

India has reported its lowest daily increase in coronavirus deaths in nearly three months.

The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 680 fatalities in the past 24 hours, the lowest in 11 weeks, raising the country's death toll since the pandemic began to 111,266. The country was seeing more than 1,000 virus deaths per day last month.

The ministry also reported 67,708 new infections, raising India’s total to more than 7.3 million.

South Korea has reported 110 new cases of the coronavirus as a hospital in Busan emerged as the country’s latest cluster of infections.

The numbers released by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency on Thursday brought the number of infections since the pandemic began to 24,988, with 439 deaths.
