The World Health Organisation chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the COVID-19 crisis will not end any time soon, with several countries only in the initial stages of the fight against the virus.

Hyderabad:The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 27,25,391 and killed over 1,91,055 people across the world. More than 7,45,820 people have recovered so far.

Russia’s reported coronavirus caseload has surpassed 60,000.

The government registered 4,774 confirmed cases on Thursday, which brought the country’s total to 62,773. The official death toll rose to 555, with 42 people dying since Wednesday.

For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness including pneumonia and death. The vast majority of people recover.
