Hyderabad: The novel coronavirus infections have surged to 12,01,964 and fatalities touched 64,727 across the world. More than 2,46,638 people have recovered so far, mostly in China.
The new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms for most people. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness or death.

Chinese health authorities reported 30 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, including 25 people who had arrived from overseas. The other five cases were in southern Guangdong province, which borders Hong Kong.
