Emergency warning declared for Victoria state fire

An emergency warning was declared by the Australian authorities regarding the grass fires burning in rural areas of the Victoria state. Helicopters were waterbombing the area to try and contain the blazes.

Ballarat: Australian authorities declared an emergency warning for grass fires burning in rural areas of the Victoria state, local media reported.

Aerial footage showed several buildings and cars were on fire near the country town of Ballarat.

Hay bales were also burning and helicopters were waterbombing the area to try and contain the blazes.

No injuries have been reported.
