Despite India's snub, Imran Khan wants talks

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated the need to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue which he said is the only way to sort out differences amid tensions between the two nations.

Bishkek: Despite India's snub to Pak PM Imran Khan and PM Modi's saying in clear words that there cannot be any talks with Pakistan till it takes steps to eliminate cross-border terrorism, the Pak PM reiterates his wish to hold dialogues with India.

Khan told media in an interview that the two countries must resolve the issues, including Kashmir, through talks and not by military means. He further said that the two countries should spend resources on people's welfare than on military purchases.

Imran Khan realises his country's dire economic distress where it was forced to take a bail-out amount from international agencies. And he desperately tries to get India at the table for discussing contentious issues. But despite his all soft, constructive words he fails to stop the cross-border terrorism.

Under the circumstances, India finds it futile to have any talks with Pakistan. It further rules out any international mediation in Kashmir, which Pakistan is willing to go for.

To send the strong message of India's displeasure over the terrorism emanating from across the border, PM Modi avoided shaking hands with the Pak PM at the informal dinner hosted by the Kyrgyzstan President.
