Kathmandu:A former United Nations official from Canada, who served in Ebola emergency, was awarded 16 years of jail term and penalty worth one million (in Nepali Rupees)over guilty of child abuse.
The 62-year-old Peter John Dalglish was ordered to pay compensation of one million to the victims and jail term of 16 years combined.
Earlier Dalgish had worked for UN humanitarian agency in Afghanistan, UN Mission for Ebola Emergency Response in Liberia and also in Darfur of Sudan.
