Bombs found in car after New Zealand mosque attacks

New Zealand police found found two improvised explosive devices (IED) in a car after the Mosque attacks. This was informed by New Zealand Police Commissioner Mike Bush. While one IED has been disabled efforts on the diffuse the second. 49 people were killed in the shootings at the Masjid Al Noor mosque in central Christchurch and the Masjid Mosque in the suburb of Linwood.

Wellington: New Zealand Police Commissioner Mike Bush said it would be "wrong to assume there was no one else" involved in the mass shootings at two mosques full of worshippers attending Friday prayers.

At least 49 people were killed in the shootings at the Masjid Al Noor mosque in central Christchurch and the Masjid Mosque in the suburb of Linwood.

Bush said police had found two improvised explosive devices in one car, a clarification from an earlier statement that there were devices in multiple vehicles.

He said they had disabled one and were in the process of disabling the second.

Police took three men and a woman into custody after the shootings, which shocked people across the nation of five million people.

One of the suspects was later charged with murder.
