New Delhi:In a diplomatic win for India, its candidature for United Nations Security Council's non-permanent seat for the year 2021-22 has been endorsed by the Asia-Pacific group at the United Nations.
Asia-Pacific group endorses India's candidature for non-permanent seat at UNSC
India has been elected as a non-permanent member at the UNSC after it's candidature for the year 2021-22 has been endorsed by the Asia-Pacific group at the United Nations. Elections for the five non-permanent members of the 15 Nation Council for the 2021-22 term will be held around June next year.
India has been elected as a non-permanent member at the UNSC
The last time when it acquired non-permanent status at the UNSC was in the year 2011-12.
