Arab League nations attend forum in Moscow

Arab League states foreign ministers visited Russia on Tuesday to attend the Russia-Arab forum's fifth meeting. Agendas like fight against terrorism, nuclear proliferation are also on the table of discussion.

Russia is moving, for some years now, in the direction of bolstering its relations with Muslim world that encompasses not only the middle east but parts of North Africa like Egypt and Libya as well. While the US is found making diplomatic parleys and fighting wars in assorted Asian fronts seemingly haphazardly, Russia is seen working on a long term strategic vision .

The Russia-Arab forum is primarily formed to take Russia's interests further in the Arab world in specific and Muslim world in general . The fifth meet of the forum is basically aimed at renewing the relationships in the light of current developments and the prevailing situations .

Delegates from different Arab nations such as Kuwait, Oman and Yemen had arrived to attend the meeting. The meeting is supposed to adopt joint activities plan and consultations to resolve various problems.

The discussion would focus, among other things, on enhancing cooperations between Russia, Middle East and North Africa and also aim to protect their interest and sovereignty. They would also hold talks on the Palestine and Israeli peace settlement, crisis in Syria, Libya, Yemen. Agendas like fight against terrorism, nuclear proliferation are also on the table.
