Kabul: At least eight people were killed and 50 others were injured after a vehicle laden with explosives detonated in Afghanistan.
A provincial council member, Hasan Raza Yousafi said that the target of the attack was an intelligence unit compound in the provincial capital Ghazni.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
Media reported that all the eight people killed in the attack were the members of the National Directorate of Security (NDS).
The incident has come while a two-day conference between representatives of the Taliban and the Afghan government is underway in Qatar's capital city of Doha.
