12 killed, 60 wounded in Taliban attack in Afghanistan

At least 12 people killed and more than 60 other sustained injured in a Taliban attack on Kandahar police headquarters.

Kandahar:At least 12 people, including seven civilians, were killed in a Taliban attack on Kandahar police headquarters on Thursday.

More than 60 others including 40 security personnel were wounded in the attack, media reported.

However, the governor office said nine civilians were killed in the attack.

President Ashraf Ghani has condemned the attack.
