Port-au-Prince: Demanding resignation of Haitian President Jovenel Moise, thousands of protesters burned tyres, blocked roads and threw stones in Port-au-Prince on Sunday. The protests are mainly against rampant corruption that has badly affected peoples' lives.
One person died following a gunfire. Police fired tear gas near presidential palace as protesters attempted to cross barricades.
Travel was disrupted between some cities.
The protesters are demanding further investigation into the fate of funds from subsidized Venezuelan oil shipments under the Petrocaribe program.
