In the US history following are the Democrats who ruled America for a long period of time:

  • Late President Ronald Reagan who took office in 1981-1989 was the 40th president. He died in 2004 aged 93.
  • The World War II military hero Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected to the US presidency in 1952, aged 63. He suffered a heart attack in September 1955 while on vacation in Denver, but went to live until 1969. He died at the age of 78.
