Charlotte: A long queue of passengers were left stranded at the US airport due to the cancellation of flights which took place because of harsh weather conditions.
A number of airports had to put up the cancellation and delay list, which includes Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, and Charlotte/Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.
Deadly weather has caused multiple deaths across Texas and Louisiana. Tens of thousands are without power in Mississippi and the governor there has declared a state of emergency.
Flight cancellations on such a massive scale obviously put tens of hundreds of passengers to great inconvenience. Many passangers resented that adequate arrangements were not in place. So it was gruelling wait for many. People were seen standing in lines, loitering, squatting on floors or simply lying down in despair .
